SUJAN
ECE student at RVCE building at the intersection of
VLSI design and embedded systems.
About Me
I'm Sujan S, a third-year Electronics & Communication Engineering student at RVCE, Bangalore. I work at the intersection of chip design and embedded systems.
At ISRO (ISTRAC), I worked on signal monitoring systems, environmental sensor pipelines, and real-time data acquisition setups.
On the silicon side, I have taken designs from Verilog RTL to GDSII sign-off in Cadence, including floorplanning, routing, and DRC. I focus on problems where physics and logic meet.
Work Experience
- Worked on environmental sensor integration over I2C for continuous data acquisition.
- Worked on automated signal monitoring and spectral analysis using Python-based SCPI pipelines.
- Worked on satellite link characterisation and atmospheric condition correlation studies.
- Worked on real-time data dashboard development with automated logging on a solar-powered embedded system.

Engineering Projects
OLED Pixel Editor
Browser-based pixel art editor for OLED displays. Draw pixel-by-pixel, preview on a simulated screen, and export C byte arrays ready to paste into Arduino or embedded firmware — no desktop tools needed.
SchemFlow
Interactive web tool for drawing and exporting clean circuit schematics in the browser. Built for electronics students who need quick diagrams without installing heavy EDA software like KiCad or Altium.
Reconfigurable Mixed-Precision SIMD ALU
32-bit / 8-lane INT4 vector ALU in Verilog with dynamic precision switching for quantized neural network inference. Full RTL-to-GDSII on gpdk 45nm: NCLaunch → Genus (400 MHz) → Innovus. ~7,519 µm² cell area, ~1.03 mW, 2,435 cells.
Dynamic Gesture-Controlled Robot
Built a closed-loop gesture-controlled robot that maps 21 hand landmarks to real-time motion commands at 30 fps. Implemented with MediaPipe and OpenCV in Python, with Arduino actuation over an NRF24L01 2.4 GHz RF link using an error-resilient serial protocol across 30-50 m. Delivered reliable touchless control and won 1st Place at Project-A-Thon 2025.
Voice-Activated Car Control System
Built a voice-activated control system for four vehicle subsystems with fast command execution. Developed using Python speech recognition, Arduino firmware, and HC-05/ESP8266 communication, then characterized and tuned L293D H-bridge PWM behavior. Reached sub-100 ms command-to-actuation latency, improving responsive hands-free driving control.
Gas Leakage Detection Bot — NavaNIETi 2026
National-level 24-hour hackathon at The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru. Built a post-disaster rover that detects CO + LPG simultaneously using dual MQ9 sensors, navigates autonomously via IR wall-following and obstacle avoidance, streams live video via ESP-CAM over WiFi, and serves a full real-time dashboard directly from the ESP32 — zero cloud, fully offline. One of 25 teams selected from 135 applicants.
Twin Guard: Worker Safety via Digital Twin
Built Twin Guard, a worker-safety platform that mirrors field conditions through a digital twin. Integrated temperature, pressure, and motion sensors with Azure Digital Twin (DTDL) using a real-time IoT data pipeline. Triggered proactive safety alerts within 2 seconds of anomalies to support faster industrial risk response.
eYRC 2025-26 — KrishiBalancer
National Finalist at e-Yantra Robotics Competition, IIT Bombay — ranked 4th out of 544 teams. Selected as 1 of 6 national finalists. Built an autonomous self-balancing agricultural robot with PID control on Arduino, MPU6050 IMU, and real-time sensor integration.
